Granite Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) top and (http://maplered.com) full Granite (http://tanbrown.org) backsplash, good or bad?

I was thinking of using the same Granite (http://tanbrown.org) for the kitchen countetops and (http://maplered.com) full basksplash, I am hesitant though because I don't know what type of look I am creating by doing this. I do not want an ultra "modern" look (like a Manhatten condo), I am trying to create more of a family "gourmet kitchen" look.
Does anyone have any experience or advice on using the same Granite (http://tanbrown.org) for the backsplash and (http://maplered.com) what type of look this creates? Any advice would be much appreciated!
